ABOUT SAM HAMSTRA

Sam Hamstra is a devoted husband, father, pastor, and coach. Alongside his wife, Taylor, he serves as the Founder and Lead Pastor of Anthem Church, based in Hammond, Indiana. Since launching in 2020, Anthem has grown into a vibrant, multi-ethnic, multi-generational church—impacting thousands of people across Northwest Indiana, Chicagoland, and beyond.

In addition to leading Anthem, Sam is a sought-after speaker at leadership events, church conferences, and services across the country. He also serves on the boards of The Gathering Church in Schererville, Indiana, and Oasis Church in Chicago, Illinois, and provides spiritual covering for a network of pastors and leaders.

Sam began his academic journey at Lipscomb University in Nashville, Tennessee, before completing his degree at Saint Xavier University in Chicago. Prior to being called into full-time ministry, he spent several years as an entrepreneur, founding and operating a successful team sporting goods business, while also coaching baseball at both the high school and collegiate levels.

Sam and Taylor have been married for over 20 years and are the proud parents of two sons, Daniel and Jaxxon. They make their home in Northwest Indiana.
